Conservation Management Plan

Thriive Ecological assisted in preparing a Conservation Management Plan (CMP) for Wattlebewillbe, outlining the property’s ecological values, key management actions, and monitoring strategies. The CMP provides a structured roadmap to guide conservation and restoration efforts over time.

Thriive Ecological is also assisting in developing a registered Accounting for Nature® Environmental Account for Woodland Birds at Wattlebewillbe, with baseline data collection planned for spring 2025 and submission for certification in early 2026. These tools provide a clear, science-based way to track ecological condition and guide management decisions, supporting both conservation outcomes and landholder priorities.

The CMP also supported our application to the Federal Government for a Conserved Area assessment, helping to formally recognise Wattlebewillbe’s contribution to biodiversity protection and landscape-scale conservation outcomes.

*Wattlebewillbe is a 22-hectare Wildlife Land Trust sanctuary in the Brigalow Belt, managed for conservation and ecological restoration since 2010. Previously cleared for intensive grazing and timber harvesting, it is now being restored as a regenerative conservation landscape that integrates low-impact food production with biodiversity recovery, with a particular focus on habitat for the endangered greater glider.
