Our Story
Mission Focus
Wattlebewillbe is a 22-hectare sanctuary in the Brigalow Belt, where remnant eucalypt woodlands, seasonal waterways, and open forests provide vital habitat for threatened species such as the greater glider and koala. Bordering more than 40,000 hectares of Coominglah State Forest, the property strengthens habitat connectivity and contributes to biodiversity outcomes on a landscape scale.
Since 2010, Wattlebewillbe has been managed for conservation and ecological restoration, combining low-impact food production with wildlife recovery. As a registered Wildlife Land Trust sanctuary with certified Accounting for Nature® environmental accounts, it demonstrates how small-scale private land can deliver lasting benefits for both people and nature.
