Thriive Ecological is assisting in the developing an as registered Accounting for Nature® Environmental Account for woodland birds at Wattlebewillbe, with baseline data collection planned for spring 2025 and submission for certification in early 2026. This process will provide a clear, science-based measure of ecological condition and change over time.
By working together, we aim to demonstrate how environmental accounts can be applied to small-scale private conservation properties, offering landholders a practical way to track outcomes, guide management, and contribute to landscape-scale biodiversity recovery.

*Wattlebewillbe is a 22-hectare Wildlife Land Trust sanctuary in the Brigalow Belt, managed for conservation and ecological restoration since 2010. Previously cleared for intensive grazing and timber harvesting, it is now being restored as a regenerative conservation landscape that integrates low-impact food production with biodiversity recovery, with a particular focus on habitat for the endangered greater glider.
